Special Education Itinerant Teacher

SEIT

On the continuum of special education services, Special Education Itinerant Teacher support is the least restrictive, allowing for the child to have access to the general education curriculum, learning alongside her/his peers.  Our Special Education Itinerant Teachers will:

  • Plan developmentally appropriate activities and strategies to support achievement of IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with the general education provider of the student to ensure carryover of strategies.
  • Provide family with ideas and home activities that they can do with their child to help her/him achieve IEP goals.
  • Ensure regular, weekly, communication among all service providers and parent.
  • Collect response data each session to inform ongoing instruction.
